With spring on the horizon, now is the time to book upcoming travel arrangements. Make life easy and catch a flight locally from the Purdue University Airport (LAF). Whether it is for business or personal travel, daily round-trip flights to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and more than 240 connections are available for Purdue faculty, staff, students and the community.

Southern Airways Express provides commercial flights at the airport and has an agreement with American, United, Alaska and Hawaiian airlines to provide a seamless flight connection process for passengers.

Individuals can book flights several ways:

  • For the best availability, check http://www.iFlySouthern.com. The website includes connecting flights on airline partners (United, American, Alaska and Hawaiian). Tickets can be purchased directly through any of these partners.
  • Work with online or local travel agencies.
  • Call 800-329-0485 or visit the ticket counter at the Purdue University Airport Terminal Building, located at 1501 Aviation Drive in West Lafayette.

Those traveling on official Purdue business, whether domestic or international, are highly encouraged to book through AAA Corporate Travel so connections are all on one travel itinerary.

“Our partnership with AAA Corporate Travel provides travel agent services at no cost to the traveler and ensures that a single travel itinerary is in place,” said Jessica Robertson, associate vice president of Purdue’s Auxiliary Services. “In the event of a flight delay or cancellation anywhere in the process — especially for multi-leg connections — this makes it easier to navigate the change and rebook, so faculty and staff get where they need to go.”

Auxiliary Services is part of the Administrative Operations organization, which supports the university through safe, reliable and transformative services. Providing a local connection to the world through the airport and simplifying business travel are just two of the ways the organization continues to power Purdue.
