In its final days, the Purdue United Way campaign still needs more support from the campus community to reach its goal of raising $700,000 for local agencies in need and adding 150 new donors to its roster. As of today (Nov. 6), $585,000 has been raised for this year’s campaign, which ends Nov. 14.

Dimitrios Peroulis, the 2024 Purdue United Way campaign chair, expresses his gratitude to Purdue employees for their support so far and encourages those who haven’t yet made a pledge to consider doing so before the campaign concludes.

“We are deeply grateful to all Purdue donors for your incredible generosity and support, demonstrated in so many ways,” says Peroulis, senior vice president for partnerships and online and the Reilly Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. “Your contributions have brought us closer to our goal of making a significant impact on our community.

“As we enter the final stretch of our United Way campaign, we need everyone’s help more than ever. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can ensure that vital programs and services continue to reach those in need. Thank you for standing with us and making a difference. Let’s finish strong!”

The theme of this year’s campaign is “The Power of One, The Power of Purdue.” Even a small donation can make a powerful impact. Campaign leaders and volunteers encourage the campus community to work together to reach this year’s goal and show the power of Purdue’s united efforts.

The Purdue United Way campaign will wrap up during the Nov. 21 United Way of Greater Lafayette campaign victory celebration, set for 5:30 p.m. at DoubleTree by Hilton in Lafayette. Members of the campus community are invited to attend. Registration for the event will close Nov. 14.
