Purdue for Life Foundation seeks instructors for 2025 Grandparents University

The Purdue for Life Foundation is seeking faculty members, staff members, researchers and graduate students to participate as instructors for the 2025 Grandparents University (GPU).

Each summer, the Purdue for Life Foundation welcomes 1,000 grandparents and grandchildren to campus for GPU — a program that strengthens the bonds between families and Purdue. The event is also an opportunity to get young attendees, ages 7-14, excited about higher education.

Grandparents University 2025 will be held July 17-18 and July 24-25. As the program grows in popularity, Boilermaker instructors are being sought to:

  • Lead engaging, hands-on sessions for the young and young at heart.
  • Showcase Purdue’s cutting-edge projects, facilities and technology.
  • Inspire the next generation to explore ideas in exciting ways.

Last year, participants could choose from 29 different “majors” from many departments across campus, and the Purdue for Life Foundation is hoping to expand and offer even more learning opportunities in the future. Instructors will receive a stipend per session to cover program expenses.
