Policy updates for October

Updates to the following systemwide policies and standards are effective Oct. 1.

1. Volunteers (VI.B.2): This policy now requires all units that engage students as volunteers to perform a registry check on those students, just as they do for other volunteers. This update aligns the policy with the requirements of the background check policy.
2. Authorship of Scholarly Works (S-24): Clarifying language was added to the section on suitable authorship standards as it relates to gift authors and affiliations.
