Office of Research to offer National Institutes of Health Enrichment Boot Camp

The Office of Research will offer the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Enrichment Boot Camp again in 2025. Operating since 2014, this program has helped more than 140 faculty members learn about seeking funding from NIH.

The purpose of this eight-week workshop is to get participants comfortable with the NIH as a funding agency, with the outcome being a one-page “specific aims” document that will be submitted to a selected NIH program officer to solicit input. The workshop is followed by a visit to the NIH to not only meet the selected institute program officer(s), but also to observe the inner workings of each institute through attendance at advisory councils.
