‘New Learning Experience’ homepage available in SuccessFactors

Employees visiting SuccessFactors Learning will see a “New Learning Experience” button in the top right-hand corner of the Learning homepage, which takes users to the new Learning homepage. Eventually, this new page will replace the current one. In the meantime, users can navigate and utilize both homepages.

New features

The search bar at the top of the screen allows users to type and search for courses. As learners type a search term, they will get keyword suggestions as well as proposed results.

On the search results page, learners can bookmark items to review later. The search capability offers learners the opportunity to search based on specific skills, duration, mobile availability and other attributes.

One of the main differences of the new homepage is that the menu icon and drop-down list are located on the far right side of the screen. Items such as Learning History are now part of a menu rather than a tile on the homepage.

Trainings on the new homepage are organized in the following way:

  • Required Learning — Courses automatically assigned based on your position, including compliance related courses. Surveys launched after taking a course also show up here. Users now can select and block calendar time to complete required courses.
  • Purdue Training and Resources — Click through the tiles to review linked resources.
  • Invest in Myself — This new section will utilize SAP AI tools to recommend courses based on learning history, skills and more.
  • Bookmarks — Anything employees have bookmarked will show here. Many users bookmark their New@Purdue program, report collections, etc. Bookmarks make the topics they want to continually refer back to easier to access.

Eventually, users may see “Requests for Me” if others have requested learning tasks or actions. Peers can also make suggestions for training that will display on the homepage under the “Suggested by Peers” section. More information will be shared as this new learning experience continues to develop. In the meantime, employees are encouraged to explore and familiarize themselves with the new Learning homepage.
