About the Purdue author

Darlene Russ-Eft is a professor emeritus of adult and higher education at Oregon State University and an assistant professor of practice of technology leadership and innovation at Purdue Polytechnic Institute. Before joining academia, Russ-Eft worked as a senior research scientist for the American Institutes for Research and later worked as the director of research for international training companies. Her research focuses on issues related to workplace education and learning, leadership development, and evaluation of human resource development interventions. In 2017 Russ-Eft was inducted into the Academy of Human Resource Development Hall of Fame.
