App update available to receive push notifications for Purdue Campus Connect shuttle

An update to the app used to reserve seats on the Purdue Campus Connect shuttle is now available to provide push notifications.

As previously communicated, the R2U Connect allows riders to reserve a seat and see when the shuttle is close to pickup and drop-off locations. The app now has a new version available to provide push notifications. The newest version is available through Google Play or the App Store. Purdue students, faculty and staff should create an account using their university email to ensure rides are free.

As a reminder, riders are not required to use the app to ride the free shuttles but are encouraged to use it to guarantee a seat.

Six round trips run daily during the week with a reduced schedule on the weekends during the fall and spring semesters. The shuttles do not run during breaks and holidays.

Pickup and drop-off locations on the West Lafayette campus include in front of the Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center (PMU/STEW) along Mitch Daniels Boulevard and the circle drive on the northwest side of the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center (CREC). The pickup and drop-off location for Indianapolis will be along West Vermont Street near the intersection with North Blackford Street. Maps have been added to the Auxiliary Services website to help provide exact locations.

Additionally, the latest version of the app will provide traffic updates during the 16-day Interstate 65 closure that began Oct. 15.

Questions about the shuttles may be directed to transportation@purdue.edu.

Auxiliary Services is part of the Administrative Operations organization. The organization supports the university by providing safe, reliable and transformative services. Providing reliable transportation between the West Lafayette and Indianapolis campuses is just one of the ways the organization helps power Purdue.
