Advisors sought for student organizations

The Student Activities and Organizations (SAO) office is seeking faculty and staff who may be interested in serving as advisors for student organizations.

Student organizations play a critical role in students’ involvement, development and experiences on and off campus. Whether they are brand new or more than 100 years old, many Purdue student organizations are in need of a faculty or staff advisor. Student organization advisors serve as mentors and coaches and provide a personal connection to the university.

Faculty and staff can also login to BoilerLink and complete the advisor interest survey. SAO will share employees’ survey information with organizations that align with their interests.

For more information about advising student organizations, check out one employee’s experience in a story from Purdue Today’s “Purdue Pursuits” series. Individuals with questions can contact Brian Connelly at brianjconnelly@purdue.edu.
