Women in Engineering invites middle school students to attend an on-campus engineering event

Purdue Arch

Registration for “Engineering FYI: For Your Imagination,” an on-campus daylong event designed to generate interest in engineering among middle schoolers, is now open.

This year’s program will be held on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. ET. The event is geared toward girls interested in STEM who have completed 6th, 7th or 8th grade by July 2023, but all students currently in middle school are welcome to register and attend.

Student participants will work alongside Women in Engineering mentors and participate in hands-on engineering activities throughout the day. They will have fun creating, exploring, problem-solving and letting their imagination soar to new heights. Throughout the program, they will work together, share ideas, enjoy a free lunch with other participants, and learn how engineers rock our world and make a difference.
