* An Indianapolis student talent engagement luncheon was held Monday, April 22, at Purdue University in Indianapolis at High Alpha, 830 Massachusetts Ave. Business and local organization leaders were invited to connect and find out about opportunities to work with students in Indianapolis through programs, co-ops and internships. Representatives from Purdue programs, including Vertically Integrated Projects and EPICS, spoke with attendees.

Purdue’s Manufacturing and Materials Research Laboratories announces new Indianapolis presence

In an effort to accelerate physical, digital and sustainable manufacturing efforts across Indiana, Purdue University’s Manufacturing and Materials Research Laboratories (MMRL) will establish a presence in Indianapolis at 16 Tech Innovation District, the city’s destination for innovation and entrepreneurship, deep inside the heart of the Hard-Tech Corridor. MMRL will locate in 16 Tech’s Machyne makerspace, the region’s leading makerspace for prototyping.

Industry internships, flexible class schedules and supportive professors are just a few of the things that Carys George, a Purdue themed entertainment design student in Indianapolis, loves about her major. Riding roller coasters as part of her education? That’s just a bonus.
