New season for Purdue Farmers Market begins May 2

The Purdue Farmers Market will begin a new season this Thursday (May 2). The weekly market will be held every Thursday through Oct. 31 at Memorial Mall. It will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The market gathers together local vendors who offer various items, including fresh produce, hot food and tasty desserts.

“We are once again excited to bring the campus community together every Thursday to explore offerings from many vendors,” said Tony Gillund, director of Sustainability. “It’s a great opportunity for students, faculty, staff and visitors to get out; enjoy the outdoors; and support local businesses.”

Because the Grant Street Parking Garage will be closed from May to August, farmers market guests with an “A” permit should park in the Wood Street Parking Garage. Guests without an “A” permit should use ParkMobile for visitor parking during the summer.

The market is hosted by Campus Planning, Architecture and Sustainability in collaboration with Greater Lafayette Commerce.

Questions about the market may be directed to Sustainability at sustainability@purdue.edu. Follow Sustainability on FacebookX (formerly Twitter) and Instagram for market updates, including closures due to weather.

Campus Planning, Architecture and Sustainability is part of the Administrative Operations organization. Providing a space to bring together the campus community and support local vendors is just one way the organization continues to power Purdue.
