MaPSAC awards professional development grants to 16 employees

The Management and Professional Staff Advisory Committee has awarded individual professional development grants to 16 management and professional staff members for the spring application cycle. 

Grants up to $750 are awarded twice a year. MaPSAC presented a total of $7,673 through its spring 2024 grants. The volunteer subcommittee reviewed 43 eligible applications. The fall 2024 grant application period will open in October.

Grant recipients, their positions and the areas in which they work are:

  • Stephanie Bowers, intercultural learning specialist, International Scholar Services
  • Zachary Brown, assistant director for student recruitment and retention, Office of Multicultural Programs, College of Agriculture
  • Phillip Conrad, senior information security analyst, Purdue cyberTAP
  • Alison Davis, discovery and integrated library systems administrator, Libraries
  • Aparajita Jaiswal; intercultural research specialist; Center for Intercultural Learning, Mentorship, Assessment and Research
  • Song Kang, police captain, Purdue University Police Department
  • Samantha Ooley, academic program manager, Philosophy
  • Jason Philhower, program manager, Emergency Preparedness and Planning
