The Campus Support Staff Advisory Committee elected a vice chair and four emeritus members for 2024-25 during its April 9 meeting.

Jurgen Rochin Gomez, a service worker for Building Services — Residence Halls, was elected vice chair and will take office June 1. At the same time, Chad Cahoon, a Purdue University Police Department officer, will become the 2024-25 chair.

Members also elected Rendi Tharp, current chair and senior program assistant for the Master of Engineering Management program; Jacquie Carroll, account clerk for the College of Agriculture; Mark Fields, service maintenance worker for Operations and Maintenance; and Jennifer Kawlewski, administrative assistant for the Department of Pharmacy Practice, to serve as nonvoting emeritus members for 2024-25.

CSSAC members are eligible for an emeritus position upon completion of their regular CSSAC membership. The four emeritus members will use their knowledge of the university and the committee to assist with continuity and will serve a one-year term starting in June.
