Upcoming mental health first aid opportunities from Purdue Extension

For over five years, Purdue Extension has offered Mental Health First Aid courses to the campus community and across Indiana. Registration for two upcoming virtual adult courses is now open.

Mental Health First Aid courses provide introductory education about several mental health issues, tools to assist someone in distress to seek professional help, as well as tools for self-care. Courses are taught by a team of certified Purdue Extension instructors and may be of interest to faculty and staff looking for ways to better support students, colleagues and loved ones.

Advance registration and online pre-work are required for these courses. The cost to attend is $130 for in-person courses and $90 for virtual courses. Each course has a limited class size, so early registration is encouraged.

Upcoming virtual adult course offerings include:

  • April 25 — Register here.
  • May 9 — Register here.
