WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Extension's redesigned online Education Store is a convenient source of more than 2,400 free and affordable publications, multimedia guides, and other educational products from Purdue experts.
These cover topics that include gardening, family nutrition, personal finances, lawn care and other research-based material.
The site, https://www.the-education-store.com, has been redesigned to make it more user-friendly and a source for complete, one-stop shopping. The launching of the new site coincides with the Indiana State Fair, where there is an Education Store exhibit in the Pioneer Hi-Bred Our Land Pavilion.
Products include DVDs, CDs and books, or downloadable PDFs and MP3 files.
Visitors to the website can browse topics that also include home and family, teaching resources, healthy living, building a business, and farming and land use. Among publications listed on the site are Taking Care of Your Yard and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Complete Guide to Home Canning. DVDs and CDs include Native Shrubs of Indiana, Lumber from Hardwood Trees and Our First Horse: Considerations Before You Buy.
"The new design of the store is the portal for all Extension and College of Agriculture educational materials," said Paula Dillard, coordinator of the Education Store. "This enables people to access over 2,400 different titles 24/7."
While some information is free, visitors can buy other products online by credit card through the secure website or print their order and send it by mail or fax.
