As snow melts, watch for falling ice, slick walkways
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – With warmer temperatures in the forecast beginning Saturday (Feb. 12), a new hazard is possible - ice falling from roofs or melting and then freezing on walkways.
Purdue University staff are assessing potential problems and planning ahead.
"Watch for building postings, signage or barricades," said Carol Shelby, senior director of environmental health and public safety. "Also please call 765-494-3087 to report any potential hazards."
