Krannert Executive Forum speakers announced
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Company CEOs, consultants and a Purdue basketball coach are among the speakers for this fall's Krannert School of Management Executive Forum.
Started in 1973, the forum is an undergraduate class for both management and non-management students, primarily seniors. The talks are open to the public free of charge as seating permits.
The forum meets from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. each Friday beginning this week (Sept. 3) in Rawls Hall, Room 1086.
The class is designed to help students understand the business world waiting for them after graduation. Dates, speakers and titles of talks are:
Sept. 3 - Jeff Carroll, principal, JD Carroll & Associates, "Rock Your Career with the Power of 're'."
Sept. 10 - Sharon Versyp, Purdue women's head basketball coach, "Team Building and Leadership."
Sept. 17 - Julie Bauke, president, Congruity Consulting, "Being Career Happy."
Sept. 24 - John Arens, manager, Accenture, "Choose Your Own Adventure."
Oct. 1 - Bradley Sheares, retired CEO, Reliant Pharmaceuticals, "Business Leadership: There Is No Substitute for Experience."
Oct. 8 - David Kolssak, founder and president, TURNkey Information Technologies, "The Road Less Traveled: The View from One Entrepreneur's Window."
Oct. 15 - James Mitchell, CEO, FUHU Inc., "A Corporate Life to an Entrepreneur Life: A Change in Perspective."
Oct. 22 - John Popp, president, and J. Bohn Popp, vice president of marketing, Aunt Millie's Bakeries, "Private or Public."
Oct. 29 - Luis Montoya, president, Latin American Beverages, "Leadership for a New Generation."
Nov. 5 - Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, co-founder and co-chairman, Yoostar Entertainment Group, "From Blue Chip to Start-Up."
Nov. 12 - Rhonda Winter, chief information officer, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, "A Leader's Endlessly Renewable Fuel: Curiosity."
Nov. 19 - Albert Chen, founder, chairman and CEO, Telamon Corp., "Faith When Nowhere Else to Turn."
Dec. 3 - Martin F. Walker, president and CEO, and Hugh A. Nelson Jr., vice president and COO, Desiree Morgan Co., "Identifying Opportunities: The Jewelry Industry."
