• Notables:
- Discovery Park's Oncological Sciences Center has received a donation from a recent fundraising effort by musicians from throughout Lafayette-West Lafayette. "Blitzkrieg Bash: A Tribute to Joey Ramone" raised $466 for the interdisciplinary research center, which will use the money for its Cancer, Culture and Community program offered each fall. In addition, the money will help with the publishing of "Lafayette-Our Cancer Year," a book of artwork and cancer stories submitted by members of the local community and displayed at the LaLa Gallery. Award-winning graphic novelist Joyce Brabner, who was the keynote speaker at last year's CCC event, wrote the introduction for the book.
