Diane Rehm joins WBAA for 90th anniversary gala, breakfast

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – WBAA Public Radio invites the public to join Diane Rehm in a celebration of its 90th anniversary.

Rehm, executive producer and host of the "Diane Rehm Show," will be WBAA's guest of honor for a gala dinner May 17 and a Women's Leadership Breakfast on May 18, both in the Purdue Memorial Union ballrooms. The evening event begins at 5:15 with cocktails, and dinner follows at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $90, of which $60 is a tax-deductible contribution. The doors for breakfast open at 7:30 a.m. with food served at 8 a.m. The cost is $35, of which $20 is a tax-deductible contribution. Each week more than 2.3 million listeners across the country tune into Rehm's two-hour program, which covers a wide range of topics from Iraq and the U.S. economy to the art of landscape design and James Joyce's "Ulysses." Newsweek magazine called the program, which WBAA broadcasts from 10 a.m. to noon, one of the country's most interesting talk shows. The "Diane Rehm Show" is produced at WAMU 88.5 and distributed by National Public Radio.
