Purdue President, Burke to host student government presidential debates

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue President France A. Córdova and Morgan Burke, director of intercollegiate athletics, will serve as moderators in a debate among the six candidates for president of Purdue Student Government.

The debate, which is open to the public, is at 8 p.m. Tuesday (March 27) in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall. It is scheduled to last 90 minutes.

On Monday (March 26), Dale Whittaker, vice provost for undergraduate academic affairs, will help moderate a debate among the six candidates for PSG vice president. The debate, scheduled to last one hour and 10 minutes, begins at 7 p.m. in Rawls Hall, Room 1086.

The six slates for PSG president and vice president are Ishmael Aristide and Rob Henry, Steve Carcamo and Thomas Smith, Brianna Castle and Mike Cross, Mike Pence and Julianna Stienstra, Joe Rust and Lexi Hiland, Jessica Wardley and Rich Finlay.

Voting in the election will take place April 2-4. The results will be announced at 7 p.m. April 8 in Rawls Hall, Room 1086.
