WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Haochen Zhang will perform a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. March 31 in Purdue University's Loeb Playhouse.

This performance is presented by Purdue Convocations.

Purdue Convocations presents a broad array of performances each year at Purdue University, encompassing jazz, dance, comedy, drama, Broadway productions, and classical and contemporary concerts. Convocations also enables artists to visit area classrooms, welcomes schools for special matinee performances, encourages campus professors to integrate performances into their varied curricula, and helps teachers receive arts-integrative professional development.

Since 1985, donors to Purdue Convocations – known as Friends of Convocations – have contributed more than $6.3 million to support educational outreach and 733 performances at Purdue.   In June, Purdue Convocations will conclude a four-year fundraising campaign to raise $2.5 million to continue these programs.
