INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. —

Media credential requests are being accepted for the 2023 Total Solar Eclipse Event presented by Purdue University, which will take place April 8 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As part of the event, IMS will serve as one of several NASA broadcast sites across the nation. NASA representatives and Purdue University experts will be on-site for media interviews. IMS also will be available for live shots and stand-ups for media coverage April 7 and 8. The DEX Imagining Media Center will be available for working media and will be open April 7 and 8 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The deadline to request media/photo credentials is Wednesday, March 27.

Media credentials are for working media only, for the primary purpose of gathering news and content for the timely coverage of the event by a recognized, accredited media outlet. Freelance media (photographers, journalists, etc.) must be on a specific assignment from a recognized media organization. All requests must come from an assigning editor, producer or director. With the expected demand for media credentials, IMS cannot guarantee all requests will be approved. IMS reserves the right of final approval for media credential applications. No one under age 18 will be granted media credentials.

Assigning editors, producers or directors must email all credential requests to mediacreds@brickyard.com with the following information for each person requesting to be credentialed:

  • Name, address, valid email address
  • Phone number
  • Organization
  • Job responsibility
  • Date of birth
  • Either last four digits of Social Security number, complete driver’s license number with name of issuing state, or passport number with name of issuing country

Approvals or denials of applications will be sent via email. Your request will be processed as quickly as possible, but thank you for your patience as a high volume of requests will be processed leading into the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse Event presented by Purdue University.

Series hard card credentials will not be honored for this event.

Should you have questions or concerns, please email mediacreds@brickyard.com.
