Purdue’s annual rite of spring: Happy grads to cross Elliott stage during spring ceremonies

Purdue’s spring commencement is set for May 13-16, with seven ceremonies, each in the Elliott Hall of Music on the West Lafayette campus. Eligible to participate in the ceremonies are 8,131 students, which include 6,257 undergraduates, 1,180 master’s, 454 Doctor of Philosophy and 240 professional program candidates.

Undergraduate students conduct hands-on research: Soil-dwelling bacteriophages may hold the future of medicine, honor President Daniels

Bacteriophages may be the medical wave of the future, able to help combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria. At Purdue, undergraduate researchers are discovering and cataloging them, even naming one for President Mitch Daniels.
