There’s still time to earn your 2020 Healthy Boiler incentive!

Changes announced to Healthy Boiler Wellness Program timeframe for 2020, 2021

In an effort to help employees make the most out of the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program, Human Resources announces that the 2020 program will extend through December 31, 2020, providing individuals additional time to earn their incentive. Simply put, you have until December 31 to get your annual physical and biometrics done and uploaded into the Healthy Boiler Portal. See the Quick Reference Guide for details on submitting the incentive requirements for 2020. Additionally, the Purdue Healthy Boiler Portal Review provides a video-guided look at the portal’s capabilities, including how to upload incentive requirement information for 2020.

“COVID-19’s impact has touched all five of the pillars the Healthy Boiler Program is built on,” explained Candace Shaffer, senior director of benefits in Human Resources. “Extending the deadline this year is the right thing to do and provides the Purdue community members an additional three months to get their annual physical and biometrics screening to qualify for the $325 or $650 cash incentive. Having the ability to help ensure employees can get a baseline read on where they are in regards to their physical health is key in their overall health and wellness, and we wanted to make sure everyone had the time to do so.”

2021 Healthy Boiler Wellness Program

In 2021, the wellness year will align with the benefit year, which means the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program will run from January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021. Incentive amounts will again be up for grabs with amounts available based on your benefit coverage.

Expanding the options needed to earn incentives for 2021 is currently being discussed.  More information will be shared as we approach benefits open enrollment for 2021, which takes place October 28 through November 10, 2020.
