I am delighted to introduce Sofia Catucuamba. Sofia has a strong interest in agricultural science and comes from a family that has been involved in agriculture and livestock. She pursued her education at Zamorano University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science and Production in 2017. During her studies, she had the opportunity to participate in a dairy cattle internship at Mapleview Dairy in collaboration with Cornell University. Sofia is from Ecuador and has been actively involved in agricultural extension projects. She most recently worked as an organic certification inspector at Mayacert Agency. Sofia is excited to be at Purdue and is looking forward to spending the next six months learning more about soil health management in vegetable production systems.
