Reham MOHAMED, a senior researcher at the Plant Protection Research Institute, Agricultural Research Centre in Egypt and an affiliate at the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) is visiting HLA for three months to work with Dr. Krishna Nemali on research related to “Developing Affordable Hydroponics/ Aeroponics Systems for Egypt” funded by USDA/FAS. The purpose of this research is to develop and validate low-cost leafy green production technologies that save water but maintain crop yield and nutritional quality, and transfer the developed technology to women and low-income farming communities in Egypt through extension programs.
