Purdue Hort Club Held Holiday Party

The Purdue Hort Club gathered this week for their holiday party at Dr. Dana’s home for the first time since 2019, COVID having prevented such gatherings over the intervening years.  The Dr. Leslie Hafen Memorial Scholarship Award for the Outstanding Senior Hort Club Member was presented to Megan Rach.  Club members enjoyed dinner and socializing, followed by a lively White Elephant “gift” exchange, which included numerous “steals” of future treasures!  Sadly, the “Pine Cone Santa”, a Hort Club traveling gag gift for many years (pre-COVID), did not make an appearance.  Should any past club members have information about the whereabouts of “P C Santa”, please share that with Dr. Dana at dana@purdue.edu.
