Petrus Langenhoven to Lead Farmer-to-Farmer Peppermint Tour of the Pacific Northwest

Petrus Langenhoven is leading a farmer-to-farmer peppermint tour to the Pacific Northwest from June 27 to July 1, 2022. Indiana mint farmers, ANR Extension Educators, an Extension specialist, and HLA graduate student will be traveling to Washington State and Oregon to visit growers, researchers, and industry partners. They will visit growers around Yakima and Sunnyside WA. A visit to Labbeemint, an oil buyer and processor, also promises to be very interesting. They are planning to visit researchers at the Central Oregon Agriculture Research and Extension Center, Madras OR, and growers between Madras and Mt Jefferson. Finally, they will meet the leadership of the Mint Industry Research Council (MIRC) in Salem. Purdue participants also include Amy Thompson, Phil Woolery, and Jeanine Arana Cordonero.
