Stephen Meyers, HLA horticulture crops weed scientist and pumpkin enthusiast, is included in the Fall issue of Outdoor Indiana magazine. The article features interviews with pumpkin farmers, carvers, and Meyers to spotlight this Indiana fall favorite. Meyers also contributed a family recipe for Squash Pie, a version of pumpkin pie developed by the maternal grandmother of HLA alumnus Jess Meyers (Ponsford). Subscribers of the magazine can read the article online here: Communications: Outdoor Indiana – Fall 2026. Copies are also available at Indiana State Parks visitors’ centers.
