Lighting Up the Jules Janick Horticulture Garden Update

A garden pathway at dusk with illuminated plants and trellises, featuring vibrant red flowers and greenery under warm accent lighting.

This fall, our community rallied to bring light to the Jules Janick Horticulture Garden! Thanks to your generosity, students in HORT 317 installed a low-voltage lighting system that improves safety, showcases professional techniques, and gives them real-world experience.

Together, we raised $3,350—67% of our $5,000 goal—with 20 donors leading the way. These funds helped reimburse costs originally drawn from the garden’s future enhancement fund, ensuring that plans for features like a water element or expanded spaces remain on track.

Thank you for helping us create a safer, more beautiful garden for all.
