HLA Engaged with Prospective Students at Newfield’s High School Career Day

Megan Dunn, Lillie Fronek, Gloribel Rosales-Burdin and Brandy Pinkard.

Gloribel Rosales-Burdin and Brandy Pinkard represented the Horticulture and Landscape Architecture (HLA) department at Newfields’ inaugural High School Career Day 2025. This event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with students admitted to Purdue University.

Lillie Fronek, a sophomore in Public Horticulture, also represented HLA at the event. Lillie interned with Newfields in the summer of 2024 and has been welcomed back for summer 2025, showcasing her dedication and passion for the field.

They were joined by Megan Gunn, the Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator for the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources (FNR).

Overall, the event was a great success, and we look forward to future opportunities to engage with prospective students and showcase the exciting possibilities within HLA.
