Our team Split Happens played against Spoilermakers II in a tiebreak for first place Monday afternoon at Mike Aulby’s Arrowhead Bowl for last week of the Purdue Staff and Students league.

Split Happens started out strong, winning the first game by 118 pins. Spoilermakers II put it into gear in the second game, winning by 59 pins. The third game was down to the wire being tied in the 10th frame. The last bowler on Spoilermakers II shot a 9 spare and strike to complete their game. Robert Luecke from our team Split Happens heroically tied the game by also bowling a 9 spare and strike in the 10th frame. Split Happens also won total pins from all three games by only 59 pins. With a win from the first game, a tie in the third game, and a win for total pins in all three games, Split Happens became the league’s 2022-2023 champion for their first year back!
