Emily DeaKyne

Project manager for the USDA-funded Diverse Corn Belt Project, Emily DeaKyne leads efforts to diversify Midwest agriculture beyond corn and soybeans. With a background in applied ecology and natural resource management, and a passion for community engagement, she coordinates a large, multi-state team of researchers and stakeholders, organizes outreach events, and fosters conversations around agricultural resilience and rural vitality.
