Celina Gómez’s Citizenship Celebration

Celina Gomez with celebration cake.

We are delighted to congratulate Dr. Celina Gómez on becoming a United States citizen earlier this year!

In keeping with our department’s cherished tradition, we gathered to honor Dr. Gómez’s naturalization with cake and warm wishes from colleagues. Over the past few years, these celebrations have become a meaningful way for our academic community to recognize the important journey that faculty and staff members undertake in becoming U.S. citizens.

These moments remind us of the diverse paths that bring talented individuals to our department and the rich perspectives that enhance our academic environment. Dr. Gómez’s citizenship milestone not only marks a personal achievement but also strengthens the bonds within our departmental family.
