Hannah Robalino, a visiting scholar in Dr. Moriah Bilenky‘s lab, earned first place for her research poster at the XII Symposium of Zamoranos in Gainesville, Florida. The symposium brought together Zamorano alumni, students, researchers and agricultural professionals to share research findings and strengthen connections within the agricultural community.

Her award-winning poster, “To Roll or Not to Roll? For Sunn Hemp, That Is Not Such a Simple Question,” was co-authored with Isaac Damer and Dr. Moriah Bilenky. The research examined the use of sunn hemp (Crotalaria juncea) in cover crop-based organic no-till vegetable systems, with a focus on factors affecting successful roller-crimper termination.

Robalino also received the AZA Purdue Travel Award to support her participation in the symposium.
