New Diverse Corn Belt Outreach Publications

Two Diversifying the Corn Belt (DCB) Extension publications displayed side by side: "Extended Rotations" and "Horticultural Food Crops," each featuring the DCB logo, crop images, and informational text.

Liz Maynard, Emily DeaKyne and Ariana Torres co-authored with Lauren Asprooth (Univ. Wisconsin) and Michael O’Donnell (Recovery Ag LLC) recent outreach publications from the Diverse Corn Belt project.

Diversifying the Corn Belt: Horticultural Food Crops and Diversifying the Corn Belt: Extended Rotations introduce these crop options by providing an overview of benefits; relation to corn-soybean rotations; equipment, labor and infrastructure requirements; market considerations; and challenges and opportunities. Publications will be available soon at Diversecornbelt.org, or pdf or hard copy may be requested from Emily DeaKyne.
