Andrew Flachs Publishes New Book on Reimagining Sustainable Agriculture

Illustrated book cover with red root vegetable and title “Feeding the World as if People Mattered.”

Andrew Flachs published Feeding the World as if People Mattered with the University of Arizona Press. Drawing on 15 years of anthropological research across South India, Eastern Europe and North America, Flachs explores how small farmers are building a sustainable food system by investing in creating more farms and farmers, not just higher yields. This value becomes more visible when we focus on agriculture’s potential for reproduction, not just production alone.
