HHS Award Information

Distinguished Alumni Award

  • HHS alumni working in his/her chosen profession for 10 or more years
  • significant career advancement;
  • long-term leadership within his/her chosen profession;
  • noteworthy professional accomplishments that reflect favorably on his/her profession, Purdue University and society;
  • nominated by staff, academic units, alumni and friends;
  • selected by the HHS Alumni Board, faculty and staff with final approval by the Dean.

Distinguished Service Award

  • demonstrated leadership ability in the community through the development of/or significant contributions to private or public programs that improve or enhance the quality of life for individuals, families, and/or communities;.
  • nominated by staff, academic units, alumni and friends;
  • selected by the HHS Alumni Board, faculty and staff with final approval by the Dean.

Early Career Achievement Award

  • HHS alumni working in his/her chosen profession for 10 or fewer years
  • outstanding career development either through traditional channels or innovative approaches;
  • support for profession;
  • involvement in professional organizations, college alumni association or community activities;
  • nominated by staff, academic units, alumni and friends;
  • selected by the HHS Alumni Board, faculty and staff with final approval by the Dean.

General Information

  • Nominees for all three categories must have received one or more degrees from an HHS academic unit.
  • Awardees must be present at the Alumni Awards Dinner to receive the award.
  • If recipient is unable to attend, the award will be held for one year.
  • Complete the nomination form by September 17
