What if I have a student test positive for COVID 19?
Within the US:
If a student obtains a positive COVID test result from PPHC or local pharmacy prior to departure , the student should take the following steps:
- The student should ensure they have a note from a physician stating that the student is ill and unable to travel.
- Student should contact the Travel Assistance Program at the number listed on the Gallagher insurance ID card.
- Student should submit a claim to be reviewed for the $1000 cancellation benefit.
- Program should follow the guidance of the following for quarantine length guidance:
Airline guidance and intended destination
- If the student secured optional CFAR coverage, they should contact CF Travel Insured with any questions: 1-855-752-8303 and start a claim.
In country - prior to return to the US:
If a student obtains a positive COVID test and unable to board their return flight home:
- The student should ensure they have a note from a physician stating that the student is ill and unable to travel.
- Student should contact the Travel Assistance Program at the number listed on the ID card to start assistance on next steps.
- Program should follow the guidance of the following for quarantine length guidance:
Insurance specialist
Airline guidance and country specifications
- Student should submit a claim to be reviewed for the $2000 quarantine benefit.
- If the student secured optional CFAR coverage, they should contact CF Travel Insured with any questions: 1-855-752-8303 and start a claim.
