Stephanie Bowers is Senior Program Manager for International Programming and Engagement in Global Programs. She leads institution‑wide initiatives that enhance the experiences of international students and scholars through strategic programming, campus‑wide collaboration, and signature events, including International Education Week. In her role, Bowers provides leadership for communications and outreach related to international programming and engagement and serves on the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) International Marketing and Communications Group. She also advises several internationally focused Purdue student organizations.
Bowers is currently pursuing an EdD in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign, with a focus on international education administration and leadership. She earned an MS in International Relations (National Security Affairs) from Troy University and a BA from Indiana University. Bowers began her career in international education in 2012 through English language teaching in the United States and abroad, later advancing into roles managing international services, cultural programming, and short‑term study abroad initiatives.
