Before joining IISG, I was a Large River Research Ecologist for the Illinois Natural History Survey at the University of Illinois, researching invasive carp (copi) in the Upper Mississippi River. My past research experiences includes working on river ecology, aquatic invasive species management, and telemetry to evaluate fish movements.
I earned a master’s degree in Biological Sciences from Western Illinois University and a dual bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from Purdue University. I also maintains certification as an Associate Fisheries Professional through the American Fisheries Society.
