Re:  Promotions and Updated Responsibilities

 

I am pleased to announce the following promotions and updated responsibilities. The actions announced below are effective Jan. 1, 2023. 

Andrew Bean, Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, is being promoted to Associate Vice President of Finance and Accounting. Andrew has consistently met the challenges of the university’s strategic financial goals with an exceptionally high level of integrity and innovation. In this new role, his oversight will expand to include the Comptroller, Accounting Services, Treasury, Bursar and Accounts Receivable functions. 

Kristi Mickle, Senior Director of Finance, is being promoted to Executive Director - Finance and Business Operations. Kristi will manage the strategic direction of the financial operations across the West Lafayette system and assume responsibility for Accounts Payable. In addition, Kristi will lead the administrative components of the Finance organization. Kristi will retain responsibility for her current portfolio of administrative units.  

John Higgins, Senior Director of Finance, is being promoted to Executive Director - Research Finance and Account Management. In this new role, John will serve as the strategic leader of research finance by assuming responsibility for those units most integrated with the research enterprise, including the Executive Vice Provost for Research and Partnerships, Centers and Institutes and Purdue Applied Research Institute, in addition to his current responsibilities for several academic units. John will partner with Sponsored Programs Services on Post Award management.
