Re: Leadership Change in Information Technology at Purdue
Colleagues,
With regrets, I write to inform you that the university’s Chief Information Security Officer, Greg Hedrick, has resigned his position effective January 31, and will be leaving the University to pursue other opportunities. Greg has been with the university for nearly 20 years and has made an incredible contribution.
Under Greg’s leadership the Information Technology Security and Policy (ITSP) group has made massive progress advancing the university’s cybersecurity program and posture. He is a trusted leader throughout the university and is a genuine thought-leader in the cybersecurity arena statewide.
As Greg transitions on to his new endeavors, the ITaP Security team will report directly to me. The position of Chief Information Security Officer will be posted immediately and we will identify a few stakeholders to advise on the selection of the next Chief Information Security Officer.
Greg has earned a great thank you from all of us for all he has given Purdue (he says he bleeds black and gold). Personally, I thank Greg not only for his years of service but also for helping me as I transitioned to my role at Purdue. Please reach out to Greg to wish him well – I know that he will appreciate it.
