Re:                Employee Engagement Survey

On January 29, staff on the West Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses will receive an email invitation to participate in an employee engagement survey. The survey invites our staff to share their opinion about Purdue as a workplace, as well as what is most important to them. Human Resources has partnered with a third-party vendor, Emplify, to conduct the survey, and once the results are in, data will be shared, as will recommendations for an action plan. Our hope is to get honest feedback to better create an environment where our employees can thrive and perform their best.

The survey will run through February 5 and will be available to take on a computer or on a mobile device. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete, and responses will go directly to Emplify, so employees can be assured of confidentiality.

Supervisors will receive an email tomorrow, and a Purdue Today article will also run tomorrow to provide further details and encourage employee participation. Supervisors will be asked to either allow employees time at the beginning of the shift to complete the survey on their mobile device or to make computers available. Open labs will also be available to increase access and provide assistance.

We want to take real action as a result of this survey – action that has a positive impact on morale, employee trust, efficiency and overall engagement. As leaders, the success of this survey begins with each of us. By encouraging our employees to take part, we’ll ensure that their voices are heard.

We look forward to hearing from our staff and creating an action plan that moves the University forward.
