Re:  Leadership change for Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Effectiveness

Our Chief Data Officer, Diane Beaudoin, has resigned effective June 14 and will be leaving the University. I want to take this opportunity to thank Diane for her many contributions to Purdue, both in her current role and in previous roles. The Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Effectiveness (OIRAE) has moved forward on several fronts during her tenure as our Chief Data Officer. I wish Diane every future success with the exciting opportunities in front of her.

As we transition, for the foreseeable future, OIRAE will report to Associate Provost Cherise Hall. Cherise has a deep understanding of college/unit data needs and will be working to align the work of OIRAE with the strategic agenda of our academic enterprise. Cherise will assume her duties June 3, while Diane completes her remaining projects.

With respect to our Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC) accreditation, Candiss Vibbert will assume leadership of the HLC preparation process. Candiss has a long history with Purdue and currently serves as an HLC reviewer. Building on the great work Diane has done to date, I feel strongly we will have a successful HLC review under the leadership of Candiss.

Again, my thanks to Diane for all she has given Purdue and my thanks to Cherise and Candiss for taking on these new responsibilities.
