About

Purdue Conferences and Event Design (PCED) is Purdue’s central event‑planning office, partnering with clients to deliver high‑quality, well‑executed events on campus, throughout Indiana, across the country and around the world.

Our Approach

PCED combines more than 50 years of collective experience, thoughtful coordination and a commitment to excellence to deliver seamless, high‑impact events. The team collaborates closely with organizers to understand each program’s goals and provide proactive solutions that ensure alignment across all planning stages — from venue selection and logistics to communication and day‑of execution. With nearly 400 programs produced annually, PCED offers trusted expertise, creative problem‑solving and dedicated support for events ranging from multi‑day academic symposia to single‑day retreats and off‑site programs across the globe.

Packages

PCED supports events of all sizes and formats through transparent, customizable planning packages tailored to each program’s scope and complexity. Packages may include planning support, logistics, registration management and on‑site coordination. Rates vary based on event type, duration, location and requested services.

Conferences PCED manages a wide range of conferences, with attendance ranging from small academic groups to large programs reaching thousands of participants.

Meetings Logistics are coordinated to bring meetings of all sizes together smoothly, including breakout sessions, keynote engagements, exhibits and departmental gatherings.

Special Events Purdue’s distinctive venues — both traditional and unique — accommodate celebrations, ceremonies and signature engagements. Special events are also supported at locations beyond campus, nationally and internationally.

Summer Programs PCED supports a variety of summer programs, including long‑standing youth experiences such as 4‑H Academy, 4‑H Roundup, the Gifted Education Resource Institute (GERI) and the Indiana FFA State Convention.

Weddings Weddings at Purdue are coordinated by the Purdue Memorial Union (PMU). Couples may work directly with PMU’s wedding planners and culinary team for full‑service support.

  • Purdue continuing education unit’s processed 
  • Toll free registration number provided 
  • Presenter expenses, i.e. travel and honoraria processed 
  • Participant fees collected via check, wire and credit card 
  • Vendor payments processed 
  • Refunds issued 
  • Complete final program financial accounting provided

  • Minimum fee: $1000

Minimum fees apply: $500 for university clients and $1,000 for non-university clients.

Preferred Partners

To support a seamless planning experience, PCED collaborates with reliable campus and external partners who provide specialized services such as catering, A/V support, transportation, housing, décor and printed materials. These preferred partners help ensure consistent quality and streamlined coordination throughout each program.
