Marv and Melanie Richardson

Marv (BS pharmacy ’80) and Melanie Richardson have long been champions for advancing education and innovation, and their commitment to Purdue continues to make a meaningful impact. Together, they proudly serve on the Campaign Steering Committee for “Victories & Heroes: Your Campaign for Purdue,” supporting initiatives that celebrate generosity and advance Purdue’s mission.

Marv brings more than four decades of leadership experience in healthcare, pharmacy automation and infrastructure. He currently serves as an investor and executive chairman of FillEx, a national automated pharmacy logistics platform focused on modernizing prescription fulfillment across the U.S. healthcare system, and as an operating partner with the global infrastructure management firm Morrison & Co. In his leadership role with Morrison, Marv quickly recognized the natural overlap between Purdue’s campaign priorities and Morrison’s strategic focus areas. He reached out to the Purdue for Life Foundation team, who developed a tailored overview highlighting Purdue’s strengths in areas most relevant to Morrison’s investment interests.

One of those areas — nuclear energy — sparked Morrison’s interest and opened the door for deeper engagement. Thanks to Marv’s leadership and collaboration, Morrison representatives connected with Purdue experts after the November 2025 Global Nuclear Energy Economic Summit, creating opportunities for dialogue and partnership around this critical field.

Marv and Melanie are the proud parents of three married children and grandparents to six grandchildren. Three of their children and spouses are Purdue alumni, further strengthening the family’s deep and lasting connection to the university. Together, they exemplify the power of volunteer leadership — leveraging experience, relationships and shared values to strengthen Purdue’s mission and advance innovation for the common good.
