How do I regrade a quiz question in Brightspace?
PLEASE NOTE: We do not recommend completing these steps until all students have completed the quiz.
- From the course navigation bar, click Course Tools and select Quizzes from the drop-down.
- Click the name of the quiz where you need to regrade a question.
- From the Properties tab, click the Add/Edit Questions.
- Click Continue on the pop-up message.
- Click the question you would like to modify the answer for.
- Make the adjustment and click Save.
- Click Back to Settings near the top-left and then click Save and Close near the bottom-left.
- Click the drop-down icon to the right of the quiz and select Grade from the drop-down.
- Click the Questions tab and then select the desired option. Update All Attempts will be helpful in instances where you simply modified a multiple choice or true/false type question, or where you would like to grant everyone X number of points for a question. Grade Individual Responses will enable you to grade each student’s response to the individual question.
- Under the Questions that are not in the quiz anymore section, click the question you previously revised.
- If you chose the Update All Attempts option, you will have the options to grant every student X number of points or select the correct answer and enter the number of points to grant for that answer.
- If you chose the Grade Individual Responses option, you will be able to review each students answer and modify their score as appropriate.
- After you have finished, click Save and then click Yes on the pop-up.
- Click Go Back to Questions.
- Click the Users tab and note the change in student scores.
