How do I preview a quiz in Brightspace?

Preview a Quiz

PLEASE NOTE:  The Preview feature described in this article is useful for quickly previewing a quiz and its formatting.  If you are looking to view and complete a quiz exactly how a student would, we recommend using the Demo Student Tool.  

1. From the course navigation bar, click Course Tools and select Quizzes from the drop-down.
   
2. Locate the quiz you would like to preview. Click the drop-down icon to the right of the quiz and select Preview from the drop-down.
   
3. Click Start Quiz!
   
   PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to view the quiz with user restrictions enabled, clear the Bypass Restrictions check box.
   
   
4. Complete the quiz.
   
   
5. (Optional) Check the Allow this preview attempt to be graded in the Grade Quiz area option to see how the quiz appears when being graded.
   
6. Click Exit Preview to return to the Manage Quizzes page.

(Optional) Grade/Review the Quiz Preview

When previewing a quiz, you can check the ‘Allow this preview attempt to be graded in the Grade Quiz area’ check box to preview how the quiz appears when being graded.

1. From the course navigation bar, click Course Tools and select Quizzes from the drop-down.
   
2. Click the drop-down icon to the right of the quiz and select Grade from the drop-down.
   
3. On the Users tab, click Show Search Options.
   
4. From the Restrict to drop-down, select Users who have previewed attempts.
   
5. Click the Search/magnifying glass icon in the Search for field.
   
6. Click your attempt to review/grade the previewed attempt.
